New Mental Health Provider for MSPTA

On October 1, 2010, Magellan Behavioral of Michigan, Inc. will become the new Mental Health and Substance Abuse vendor for State Police Enlisted that are represented by MSPTA currently in Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBSM) group numbers 81816 and 81820. This change applies to both active and retiree members and their dependents. All services will need authorization in order to receive the maximum benefit.

If you are a State Police Enlisted that is represented by MSPTA and you or your dependent is currently receiving mental health and substance abuse outpatient treatment, please have your provider contact Magellan at (866) 503-3159 so we can explain the authorization process and send them any forms that may be utilized during the transitional period.
