| REMEMBER:
How new employees are treated and what information is provided to them during
their first days and weeks on the job has significant impact on their satisfaction
with their position and with your organization. Employee orientation is
an ongoing process and is a very important component of employee motivation,
productivity, and retention. |

the first week of employment, it is recommended
that the following functions be performed by the Human Resource Office or
the immediate supervisor, as appropriate for your department: |
