• Michigan School Scorecards

In the summer of 2012, Michigan was approved for flexibility from the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) of 1965. The approved flexibility waiver from the United States Department of Education created a new way to look at school accountability in the state of Michigan. Beginning with the 2012-2013 school year, the Michigan Department of Education released Michigan School Scorecards with indicators of school and district compliance, assessment participation and assessment performance requirements. The Michigan Department of Education's School Accountability Scorecard initiatives are handled by: Office of Evaluation, Strategic Research and Accountability (OESRA) at 877-560-8378 or MDE-Accountability@michigan.gov.
