Total Funding Available to Michigan: Estimated at $390,033,535, this funding will be available to support school district's receiving Targeted Title I funding or Educational Finance Incentive Grants (EFIG.) To determine district eligibility, review last year's Title I allocations to see if your district received these funds.

Date Available: Regular and ARRA Title I allocations and applications for each school district will be posted by April 30, 2009.

Program Information: All Title I, Part A recovery funds must be used consistent with the current Title I statutory and regulatory requirements. Grant funds will be used to improve education for at-risk students and to close achievement gaps. Research based reform models are strongly recommended.

Grant Information: Grants will be distributed to eligible agencies based on the Title I formula. The grant will be part of the Consolidated Application and will be submitted using the Michigan Electronic Grants System (MEGS).
