Date Available: Fifty percent of recovery funds will be distributed to Michigan by the end of March 2009. The remaining recovery funds will be made available by October 1, 2009.
Program Information: Grants will be used to facilitate a statewide, comprehensive, coordinated, multidisciplinary, family-centered, interagency system of early intervention services to eligible infants and toddlers and their families. The program provides for the expansion and improvement of existing early intervention services currently provided to eligible infants and toddlers and their families through coordination of referral and service delivery systems. Direct early intervention services are provided as a last resort to eligible infants and toddlers and their families when no other resources for the services are available.
Grant Information: Grants will be distributed to eligible agencies based on the formula found in IDEA, and per Michigan Revised Administrative Rules for Special Education and the Revised School Code pending submission of an application in the Michigan Electronic Grants System (MEGS).
