Total Funding Available to Michigan: Estimated at $13,396,405
Date Available: Fifty percent of recovery funds will be distributed to Michigan by the end of March 2009. The remaining recovery funds will be made available by October 1, 2009.
Program Information: Grants will be used to provide instructional programs, services, and materials to students with disabilities who are three to five years of age. Examples of services are: speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and social work.
Grant Information: Grants will be distributed to eligible agencies based on the formula found in IDEA, and per Michigan Revised Administrative Rules for Special Education and the Revised School Code pending submission of an application in the Michigan Electronic Grants System (MEGS).
