School Improvement Programs - Education for Homeless Children and Youth (EHCY) Grants

Approximately $2.5 million

Date Available: Recovery funds for EHCY grants will be available to the state by July 1, 2009.

Program Information: Grants will be used to coordinate services to homeless children and youth, effective use of funds, ability to meet identified needs, and timely and accurate reporting of homeless students.

Grant Information: The EHCY grants will be awarded on a competitive basis to local school districts, intermediate school districts, public school academies, and consortia of these agencies.

Applications will be submitted through the Michigan Electronic Grants System (MEGS).
