Vision Testing for Kindergarten Entrance
To enter kindergarten, all children are required to have a vision screening. Each parent/guardian must submit evidence that their child entering kindergarten has had a vision SCREENING or submit a waiver because of religious reasons.

Immunization for New Entering Students
The parent/guardian of a child enrolling in a school for the first time must submit a certificate showing required immunizations have been given; or a physician-signed waiver that the required immunizations could not be given because of medical contraindications; or a parent/guardian signed waiver that for religious or other reasons the immunizations have not been given.

Medications in Schools
Under the direction of a school administrator, a school employee may administer medication to a student as long as there is written permission of the parent/guardian and the medication is given in compliance with the instructions of a physician. Except in an emergency, the medication must be given in the presence of another adult. The school employee is held harmless from liability except in the case of gross negligence or misconduct.
