The MI IDEA Leadership Institute is a series of Leading and Learning opportunities designed to improve outcomes for students with disabilities through leadership development and expansion of content expertise in intermediate and local school districts.

The series provides opportunities for administrative teams from the Department of Education (MDE) and intermediate and local school districts to:

The MI IDEA Leadership Institute's goal is to develop leaders throughout the State who have a shared vision with the knowledge, skills and leadership to use data effectively and to demonstrate efficient implementation of IDEA 2004, "Ensuring Public Education Works for Students with Disabilities."
