These documents were developed by Michigan educators and through the Michigan Science Leadership Academy (MSLA), with guidance from the Michigan Department of Education.  They will assist teachers in their understanding of the new high school content expectations and guide assessment.

Each discipline is subdivided into 12 Units of Instruction.  For each unit of instruction, there are:

1. Real World Contexts (examples, observations, and other phenomena);
2. Instruments Measurements, and Representations expected;
3. Technical vocabulary;
4. Individual content expectation clarification (if needed); and
5. Five instructional examples (inquiry, reflection, general, enrichment, and intervention).
