In order to participate in the federally assisted school food service programs, Local Educational Agencies must take measures to assure that no person shall, on the grounds of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability, be excluded form participation in, be denied benefits of the food service programs or otherwise be subject to discrimination. Program regulations require that the following nondiscrimination statement be posted in the food service area:In accordance with Federal law and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) policy, this institution is prohibited from discriminating on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability.
