• Workforce Development Summit The Library of Michigan participated in a national workforce development project for public libraries that included a full day Workforce Development Summit and follow up activities. We are connecting libraries with state services to job seekers and the unemployed and to workforce projects and partnerships at other libraries. The Summit materials, links and further materials are below. We are especially focused on how a library can find a new idea or service that can work with their staff and budget. Libraries are playing a leading role in helping their communities develop 21st century workforces. For more information, contact reishk@michigan.gov
The Workforce Development Summit is a part of the national Project Compass effort and is a collaboration between the Library of Michigan, WebJunction and the State Library of North Carolina. This project is made possible by grant funds from the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS).
