    SPIN Information

The Service Provider Identification Number (SPIN) is a unique number assigned to each service provider by the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC).  The SPIN is used to identify service providers participating in the universal service support mechanisms, and in particular, the service providers that participate in the schools and libraries program.  The SPIN serves as USAC's tool to assure that the SLD funds are directed to the correct location of the service provider who is providing discounted services to schools or libraries.  Form 471 applicants MUST have the SPIN of each service provider listed in order to successfully complete the application.
