- Joseph Martineau - Deputy Superintendent
Joseph Martineau is Deputy Superintendent of Accountability Services at the Michigan Department of Education (MDE). Accountability Services division includes offices and programs that oversee Michigan Educational Assessment Program and the Merit Examination, Assessment of Students with Disabilities, Assessment of English Language Learners, Accreditation / Accountability, National Assessment of Education progress.
Joseph previously served as Director for the Bureau of Assessment and Accountability and as an instructor at Michigan State University. Joseph has earned a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Science degree from Brigham Young University, as well as a Doctor of Philosophy in measurement and quantitative methods from Michigan State University.
