Purpose of work group:  

To advocate with and for people with disabilities on housing issues, in collaboration with the larger community, and to expand housing options for people with disabilities by:

  • Monitoring housing planning and programs, and provide input on issues of importance to people with disabilities.
  •  Informing policy makers and the public about housing and support issues and the changes needed to enable real choice about housing and supports.
  • Researching housing issues and helping members understand the available resources and the problems facing people with disabilities who are looking for housing.
  • Supporting people with disabilities and their allies to advocate for affordable, accessible housing.
