 The MDHHS SHARP Unit began a Carbapenem-Resistant  Enterobacteriaceae   (CRE) Surveillance and Prevention Initiative in September 2012. The Initiative  enrolled acute care and long-term acute care facilities throughout the state to voluntarily report cases of CRE. This page provides a description and overviw of the initiative as well as CRE resources.


NHSNlogo  National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN)

  NHSN is a voluntary, secrue, internet-based surveillance system that  intergrates patient and healthcare personnel safety surveillance systems. This page provides an explanation about the MDHHS SHARP Units's use of NHSN data and a listing of commonly used NHSN links.
