Susan Moran, Deputy Director, Population Health Administration
Sue Moran currently serves as the Senior Deputy Director of the Population Health Administration for the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.
In this role, she leads agency wide efforts to promote and protect the health of all Michigan residents through surveillance and response to health issues, prevention of illness and injury, improvements in access to care, and promotion of health equity. Ms. Moran oversees the following Bureaus: Laboratories; Epidemiology and Population Health; EMS, Trauma and Preparedness; Health and Wellness, Family Health Services and the Office of Local Health Services.
Prior to her appointment as Senior Deputy Director, Ms. Moran served as the Director of Medicaid Program Operations and Quality Assurance for the Michigan Department of Community Health.
Ms. Moran has more than 30 years of health care experience in the public and private sector, including state government, managed care organizations, and hospitals. She graduated from the University of Illinois with Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Public Health.
