Pre-Employment Transition Services

  • MRS StudentPre-Employment Transition Services are available in Michigan to students with disabilities who are age 14-26 and accepted or enrolled in secondary or postsecondary education.  Students must demonstrate interest and need to receive the services.  Students may receive these services before or after application to Michigan Rehabilitation Services.

    Pre-Employment Transition Services are an early intervention delivered in a variety of developmentally appropriate experiences with the goal of ultimately leading to competitive, integrated employment outcomes.

  • MRS Student ChefStudents that have interest and need for these services should talk to their teacher, school counselor, school social worker, transition coordinator or MRS counselor.

    Students under the age of 18 or over the age of 18 who have a guardian will need parent/guardian permission to participate in Pre-Employment Transition Services.  Students who are 18 or older and do not have a guardian, may give their own consent to receive these services.
