M-84 streetscape project under way in Saginaw County

STARTING DATE: Monday, June 18

ESTIMATED COMPLETION DATE: Late August 2007

PROJECT: The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is scheduled to complete aesthetic improvements on 1 mile of M-84 from Schust Road to Trautner Drive in Kochville and Saginaw townships. This project includes adding pattern-stamped sidewalks, brick columns, and decorative fencing. Zito Construction Company is the contractor for this $388,000 project.

TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS: Daytime lane closures will be in effect. One lane will be maintained in each direction on M-84 for the duration of this project. Visit the list of statewide lane closures on the MDOT Web site at www.michigan.gov/laneclosures for updates.

CUSTOMER BENEFIT: This project continues a commitment by MDOT and the Granholm administration to create jobs, improve quality of life, and provide the highest quality integrated transportation services for Michigan residents and businesses.
