I-69 Swartz Creek Rest Area upgrades under way

STARTING DATE: Wednesday, April 15, 2009

ESTIMATED COMPLETION DATE: September 2009

PROJECT: The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) has begun reconstruction work on the Swartz Creek Rest Area. The project, which started yesterday, includes parking lot and utilities work.

TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS: The ramps to and from the rest area will remain closed for the duration of this work. All lanes on I-69 near the rest area will remain open.

CUSTOMER BENEFIT: C. L. Trucking Company of Ionia is the contractor for this $2.3 million project, which will benefit Michigan motorists by providing upgrades to the facility.
