April 16, 2009 -- The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) statewide bridge crew is scheduled to inspect the Pasadena Avenue bridge over I-75 on Sunday, April 19. Crews will inspect bridge beams for load capacity and conduct resistance analysis to evaluate overall structural integrity. The bridge is located approximately 5 miles north of I-69 in Genesee County.
To ensure traffic mobility and worker safety along the I-75 corridor, two lanes will be closed, beginning Sunday morning at 9 a.m. MDOT will reopen all lanes to traffic as soon as crews finish the inspection, which is expected to be in the early afternoon.
This project is weather dependent. During inclement weather, all lanes will remain open to traffic in both directions on I-75 and work will be rescheduled. This project will benefit the public by increasing motorist safety.
