I-94 repaving in Marshall begins May 4

April 27, 2009 -- Starting Monday, May 4, the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will begin repaving 6 miles of I-94 in Marshall from 11 Mile Road to 17 1/2 Mile Road. There will be lane closures nightly and over four weekends during construction, which is slated for completion by Aug. 28.

The $15.7 million project includes concrete pavement repairs under bridges, ramp improvements, guardrail and fencing upgrades on I-94, as well as bridge repairs on I-69 over I-94. Landscaping also is planned in the project area.
