M-91 improvements start Monday in Greenville

TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS: The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be resurfacing and making structural upgrades to M-91 from south of Gibson Road to north of Wise Road in the city of Greenville. The work covers approximately 1.6 miles and will include shaping and resurfacing, drainage improvements, intersection upgrades, and the removal of four railroad crossings.

Traffic will be maintained initially through flag control, followed by a detour that includes: Van Deinse Avenue, Vining Road and Peck Road. The detour is scheduled to start May 26 and end on June 19. Construction will be suspended from Aug. 20 - 23 for the Greenville Danish Festival.

The $2.3 million project will increase safety and mobility, improve the overall ride quality, and extend the service life.
