MDOT plans for eastern U.P. presented to public

WHAT: Staff from the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) Newberry Transportation Service Center (TSC) will present an overview of construction, safety, and transportation enhancement projects planned for Chippewa, Luce and Mackinac counties during the next five years.

BACKGROUND: Several projects are planned for Chippewa, Luce and Mackinac counties during the next five years, including 2009 projects that will: replace the deck of the Cut River Bridge on US-2 in Mackinac County; resurface M-28 from M-117 to the Luce/Schoolcraft county line; resurface the I-75 Business Loop in St. Ignace from the US-2 overpass to High Street; and resurface US-2 in Mackinac County from Brevort Lake Road to Martin Lake Road.
