MDOT to host open house for M-21 project in Ionia

WHAT: The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will host an open house-style meeting for residents and stakeholders regarding upcoming construction on M-21 in the city of Ionia.

BACKGROUND: In 2010, construction will take place on M-21 from M-66 east to Lovell Street. The estimated $4.5 million project includes reconstruction and resurfacing, new watermain and sanitary sewer, drainage improvements, sidewalk, curb and gutter replacement. ADA sidewalk ramp upgrades are also in the plans.

Business owners and interested residents are encouraged to stop by to provide input and review the project with MDOT representatives before the designs are completed.
