ARRA to revive 11 miles of Lake Michigan Drive

STARTING DATE: Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009

ESTIMATED COMPLETION DATE: Friday, Oct. 9, 2009

PROJECT: This Tuesday, the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) begins a $1.5 million investment on M-45 in Ottawa County. Crews will resurface 11 miles of this major east-west corridor from US-31 to 68th Avenue. This project includes a three-year pavement performance warranty and is funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).

TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS: Daily lane closures will be in effect on M-45 from 4 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Traffic will be maintained on Lake Michigan Drive utilizing flag control.

CUSTOMER BENEFIT: This project will improve the roadway surface and increase the ride quality while extending the service life.
