Recovery Act stimulates Mecosta County

STARTING DATE: Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009

ESTIMATED COMPLETION DATE: Friday, Sept. 25, 2009

PROJECT: Beginning this Tuesday, the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will resurface 19 Mile Road in Mecosta County from US-131 to Northland Drive. All four ramps at the US-131 interchange will be resurfaced as well. This $500,000 project is funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).

TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS: Daily lane closures will be in place and traffic will be maintained on 19 Mile Road utilizing flag control. Traffic shifts will be used on the US-131 interchange ramps; no detour will be necessary.

CUSTOMER BENEFIT: Over 3.5 miles of roadway surface will be improved which will increase the ride quality while extending the service life.
