Traffic signal upgrades start Monday on five routes in Berrien County

HIGHWAYS: I-94 Business Loop (BL), M-51, US-12 Business Route (BR), I-196 BL, and M-43

START DATE: Monday, Sept. 14, 2009

END DATE: Thursday, Sept. 30, 2010

PROJECT: Over the next 12 months, the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be upgrading and modernizing traffic signals on I-94 BL, US-12 BR, I-196 BL, M-43 and at two locations on M-51.

TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS: Traffic may be reduced to one lane in alternating directions for short periods during signal installations.
