Contact:  Kari Arend, MDOT Office of Communications, 517-206-1609
Agency: Transportation

COUNTY: Ingham

HIGHWAY: Farm Lane and Service Road

CLOSEST CITY: East Lansing

START DATE: March 2008

END DATE: Sept. 30, 2009

PROJECT: On Wednesday morning, Farm Lane and Service Road on the campus of Michigan State University (MSU) will reopen to vehicular and pedestrian traffic. The roads were closed as part of a large-scale project to lower Farm Lane under two railroad crossings, widen and realign the road, improve drainage, and add sidewalks and bike paths. The project is a joint partnership between the Michigan Department of Transportation and MSU.

Once the roads reopen, there will be intermittent single-lane closures along Farm Lane, as well as sidewalk closures on the east side of Farm Lane until the completion of the project.

For more information, visit the project Web site at: www.michigan.gov/farmlane.
