MDOT to host public meeting regarding 2011 bridge replacement on M-3 over Clinton River

WHAT: Open-house style meeting allowing the public to vote on one of four aesthetic options available for inclusion in an upcoming bridge replacement project on M-3 (Gratiot Avenue) over the Clinton River in the city of Mt. Clemens.

BACKGROUND: In 2011, MDOT will open for competitive bidding, an estimated $7.1 million project to replace the northbound and southbound Gratiot Avenue bridges over the Clinton River in Mt. Clemens. Included in this project is resurfacing 4 miles of M-3 between Remick and Sandpiper streets.

Since the southbound M-3 bridge is on the list of historical structures, MDOT completed the required Environmental Assessment which analyzes the proposed work and the measures taken to minimize impact during construction.
