MDOT to host public meeting regarding 2010 resurfacing of M-153 (Ford Road) in Garden City

WHAT: Open house-style meeting to inform the public of the upcoming resurfacing of M-153 (Ford Road) in the community of Garden City. Attendees will be able to view project details and have their questions answered by Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) and consulting staff.

BACKGROUND: MDOT will be resurfacing 2.6 miles of Ford Road, between Venoy Road and Arcola Street, in Garden City. The work is scheduled to begin next spring and be completed in early fall 2010.

Included in this $6.3 million project are drainage upgrades, sidewalk ramp construction to meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements and driveway approach work on Ford Road.
