FAQ
  Bids & Contracts
What are the requirements to bid electronically?

Answer:

In addition to submitting the 1300EZ and 1381 MDOT forms, the software, Trns*Port Expedite Bid®, and a subscription to Bid Express™ are required to bid electronically on MDOT projects.

Expedite Bid® is FREE software used to prepare an electronic bid. Expedite Bid® can prepare a bid to provide quotes to eligible bidders, and is used by contractors to electronically submit a bid through the Bid Express Web site. Bid Express (an Internet-based online service, a Web site) allows a bidder and its contracting community to communicate with each other. Expedite Bid and Bid Express work together. The bid, prepared in, and submitted from Expedite Bid, transfers to the Bid Express Web server where it is held until bids are retrieved at the scheduled time.
