Who makes the actual decisions of what type of traffic device should be placed at a grade crossing?
 
Answer:
A Diagnostic Study Review Team consisting of MDOT regulatory and engineering personnel along with representatives from the railroad and road authority follow the established guidelines in making a decision as to the warranted level of crossing warning devices required.
