I am worried that a nearby railroad track is unsafe. What can I do?
 
Answer:
The State of Michigan does not inspect railroad tracks. Please contact the Chicago regional office of the Federal Railroad Administration. FRA is responsible for compliance with federal track safety standards. If you believe the situation is so severe, that a derailment is imminent, please contact the railroad, utilizing the 1-800 number posted at a nearby grade crossing, or the emergency phone listed in this web-site.
