  Freedom of Information Act
Will I be charged for information requested under the Freedom of Information Act?
 
Answer:
Fees may be charged for the necessary copying of a public record for inspection or providing a copy of a public record to a requester. A public body may also charge for search, examination and review and the deletion and separation of exempt from nonexempt information. MDOT's Freedom of Information Act fee schedule includes, but is not limited to, $19.80 per hour for labor and 17 cents for each 8½" x 11" page.
