Answer:

The area mowed at all rest areas combined equals approximately 500 football fields.

There are 85,000 jumbo rolls of toilet paper, 9,000 gallons of hand soap and 200,00 trash bags used annually at rest areas.

Every year, approximately 125,000 flowers are planted and about 90 million gallon of water are used.

The average cost-per-person at a rest area per use is 23 cents.
