FAQ
  Courtesy Patrol
How will I recognize the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) Freeway Courtesy Patrol?

Answer:

Vehicles bear the words "MDOT Freeway Courtesy Patrol" and the "Buckle Up Michigan!" safety slogan on the sides and back of patrol vans. These vans carry the same wording on both sides. Vehicles are now equipped with arrow boards to assist with traffic control in emergency situations.
