I understand you are not looking for a drawn proposal. However, is it appropriate that we submit a written description of the kind of artwork we envision?
 
Answer:
The intentions of the Artist's Statement are: 1) to tell the committee which location(s) you are most interested in addressing (indicating the media that you envision would be appropriate); and 2) to give the committee some insight on your design process and working method and how you would interact with the community while developing your design concept during the proposal phase of the project.
