Is there a number I can call for assistance?

Sorry, no. The Michigan Intelligent Transportation Systems Center, known as the "MITS Center," is the hub of ITS technology applications at the Michigan Department of Transportation. It is a world-class traffic management center where staff oversees a system of cameras and other equipment to monitor 200 freeway miles. When a stranded motorist is spotted on a Detroit-area freeway, the MITS Center staff dispatches a Courtesy Patrol driver to assist.
