Michigan's publicly-owned bridges
Three
major Michigan bridges--the Mackinac
Bridge, the International
Bridge and the Blue
Water Bridge--are publicly owned
and operated. The International Bridge and the Blue Water Bridge
provide crossings into Canada.
Two other border crossings--the Ambassador
Bridge and the Detroit-Windsor
Tunnel--are privately owned and

Effective June 1, 2009, U.S. citizens returning
to the United States from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean or Bermuda, by
land or sea, will be required to present an approved travel document to
be admitted to the United States.
