Bike path work to begin in Gladwin County

STARTING DATE: Wednesday, July 8, 2009

ESTIMATED COMPLETION DATE: Early September 2009

PROJECT: The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is scheduled to start work on the Beaverton bike path. This $83,000 project will include 0.23 miles of concrete non-motorized path construction and streetscaping along M-18 from Ross Lake Park to Tonkin Street in the city of Beaverton, Gladwin County.

This project is weather-dependent.

TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS: Shoulder closures will be in effect for the duration of this project.

CUSTOMER BENEFIT: This project will provide area residents and visitors with improved recreational facilities and improved access to Ross Lake Park.
