Construction begins next week on I-69 in Clinton County

PROJECT: Starting next week, MDOT will oversee improvements to I-69 between Peacock Road and Chandler Road. Improvements include 6.1 miles of concrete pavement restoration, along with diamond grinding and joint/crack sealing of the pavement. The project is funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).

TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS: During construction, one lane will be maintained in each direction on I-69 at all times. For the diamond grinding and crack sealing work, lane closures can occur on eastbound I-69 between 6 a.m. and 3 p.m, and on westbound I-69 between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m., Monday through Thursday.

For the concrete patch work, lane closures will occur on eastbound I-69 starting at 6 a.m. on Monday through noon on Friday. Westbound I-69 lane closures will occur starting at 6 a.m. Monday through 6 a.m. on Friday.

Lane closures will be 2 miles in length, with a minimum of 4 miles of space between each closure.
