Change in signal operation at M-36 and Pettysville Road in Livingston County

Contact:  Kari Arend, MDOT Office of Communications, 517-750-0406
Agency: Transportation

COUNTY: Livingston

HIGHWAY: M-36 at Pettysville Road

CLOSEST CITY: Brighton

START DATE: Monday, Jan. 4, 2010

END DATE: Mid-January 2010

TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS: Starting Monday, Jan. 4, the traffic signal at the M-36 and Pettysville Road intersection will switch to flash mode for approximately two weeks. The signal will flash yellow for M-36 traffic and red for Pettysville Road traffic.

The change in signal operation will allow MDOT to conduct a signal study at this intersection to see if it meets federal requirements, or warrants, for a permanent signal.

PROJECT: This past summer, the signal at M-36 and Pettysville Road was installed as a temporary measure while Pettysville Road was used as the detour route during construction at M-36 and Pettys Road.
