BACKGROUND: This April, construction will take place on M-21 from M-66 east to Lovell Street. The estimated $4.1 million project includes reconstruction and resurfacing, new water main and sanitary sewer, drainage improvements, sidewalk, curb and gutter replacement. Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant sidewalk ramp upgrades are also in the plans.
Access to businesses and residential drives will be maintained; however, temporary restrictions should be expected during sewer and water main construction. Business owners and interested residents are encouraged to stop by to provide input and review the project with MDOT representatives prior to construction.
