February 27, 2007 - - During the 2007 construction season, the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will invest $319 million in active construction to improve more than 131 miles of pavement and rehabilitate 140 bridges in the Metro Region. The Metro Region consists of Macomb, Oakland, St. Clair and Wayne counties.

February 26, 2007 -- The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will resume work Monday, March 5, on the $68 million widening project on I-94 from west of US-131 to east of Oakland Drive. This work includes the demolition and reconstruction of the Oakland Drive bridge over I-94.
