MDOT to begin work on Lovers Lane Bridge in Kalamazoo County

Project: The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is replacing the Lovers Lane Bridge over I-94.

Traffic Restrictions: Beginning March 1, traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction on an intermittent basis. Prior to March 1, preliminary work will occur along I-94 with no disruption to traffic. MDOT will use changeable message boards to inform motorists about delays.

Customer Benefit: This $9 million project is expected to last 50 years, reduce future maintenance costs, help alleviate traffic congestion, and promote safety. It continues a commitment by MDOT and the Granholm administration to create jobs, improve quality of life, and provide the highest quality transportation services for Michigan residents and businesses.
