Work to begin on M-46 in Montcalm County

September 5, 2007 - - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will begin work on M-46 from Sheridan Road to Second Street in Edmore on Monday, Sept. 10.

The two-mile resurfacing project includes joint repairs, crack sealing, and shoulder repaving.

From Sheridan Road to the Edmore village limits, one lane of traffic will be maintained in alternating directions with 24-hour flagging. From the village limits to Second Street, there will be traffic shifts with one lane of traffic maintained in each direction.

Construction is scheduled to be completed by mid-October. This $950,000 project will extend the service life of the roadway and improve ride quality.
