Single lane closure on eastbound I-94 BL in Ann Arbor starts Wednesday

PROJECT: Starting Wednesday, there will be a single lane closure on eastbound I-94 BL from just west of State Street to Fletcher Street in downtown Ann Arbor. The closure is needed for construction of the University of Michigan (U of M) North Quad high-rise building. MDOT has worked closely with U of M and the City of Ann Arbor to minimize traffic impacts with this construction project.

TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS: The single lane closure on eastbound I-94 BL will be in effect for approximately one year. In addition, left turns from Huron Street to Ingalls Street will not be permitted. And State Street will be closed between Washington Street and Huron Street as part of this long-term project. A detour will be posted.
