About this Bridge:
This timber truss bridge is the longest surviving covered bridge in Michigan. It was built by a local contractor, Pierce Bodner, in 1887, and was raised eight feet in 1910 when the Sturgis Dam was built a mile downstream, creating Sturgis Lake.
