How traffic will be affected

  • Throughout this project, two lanes of traffic will be open in each direction via temporary pavement and crossovers.
  • There will be occasional single-lane closures during off-peak travel hours.

Work on this project is divided into three stages:

Stage 1 work began on Sept. 5. It includes median reconstruction and constructing temporary crossovers in order to maintain traffic.

Stage 2 work will take place throughout 2007, and includes the reconstruction of westbound I-94, with traffic maintained on the eastbound roadway.

Stage 3 work will take place throughout 2008, and includes the reconstruction of eastbound I-94, with traffic maintained on the westbound roadway. Project restoration will occur during spring 2009 and the entire project is scheduled for completion in May 2009.
